"Dec. 20, 2009: @ Marist | W 70-52

High Point:

Leading Marist 54-47 with 5:37 on the clock, Bearcats close out game with 16-5 run.

Low Point:

Marist’s Dave Kaba banks 3-pointer with 15:57 left in the first half to give Red Foxes a 7-2 lead over the Bearcats — their largest of the game.

Bearcat of the Game: Greer Wright

The junior forward hits a season-high 22 points with two steals and three blocks. Wright reaches double figures for the ninth time this season.

In their words:

“We shot the ball decently and played solid defense. We still have to correct some things but we are coming together.”

Lucky Number: 10

Bearcats put up a season-high 10 blocks, five of which were by Pina Guillaume, his season-best.

Dec. 29, 2009: @ St. Mary’s | L 85-57

High Point:

The Bearcats lead St. Mary 15-14 with 10:50 remaining in the first half before the Gaels go on a 27-6 run to make the score 41-21 at halftime.

Low Point:

Binghamton misses all 14 of its 3-point shots.

Bearcat of the Game: Greer Wright

Wright leads Bearcats with 15 points, including going 5-5 on free throws.

In their words:

“[St. Mary’s] is one of the most prolific shooting teams we have played. We just need to go back to the drawing board and come back playing hard tomorrow.”

Lucky Number: 36

The Bearcats get 36 rebounds over St. Mary’s, who grabbed 33.

Dec. 30, 2009: @ Stephen F. Austin | L 64-43

High Point:

The Bearcats go on a 14-2 tear in 6 minutes and 19 seconds to tighten the game 59-41 with 3:06 remaining in the second half.

Low Point:

Binghamton trails by 30 points before its 14-2 spurt.

Bearcat of the Game: Chretien Lukusa

Lukusa is the only Bearcat to get double figures. He scores 18 points overall and is also named to the All-Tournament team.

“We have to put whole games together because the games won’t get any easier as we head towards conference play, where the opponents are more familiar with us.”

The Bearcats are allowed only three free throws against Stephen F. Austin.

Jan. 2, 2009: La Salle | W 66-61

High Point:

Trailing La Salle by 15 points, Bearcats go on an 18-0 tear in the second-half spanning 5:17 to take the lead 49-48 with 8:51 in regulation.

Low Point:

Before the 18-0 burst by Binghamton, La Salle leads the Bearcats 48-33 with 13:49 remaining in the second half.

Bearcat of the Game: Pina Guillaume

Guillaume pours in nine points in the 18-0 run which put the Bearcats ahead of La Salle. The sophomore nets a season-high 19 points with nine rebounds and goes 9-for-12 from the floor.

In their words:

“We beat a good team today … because we are learning to be a good team ourselves. The second half was a testament to the way we can play. Now we want to play 40 minutes that way.”

Lucky Number: 63

The Bearcats shoot 63 percent in the second half as they hold La Salle to 25 percent.

Jan. 7, 2009: @ Albany | W 62-57

High Point:

Binghamton goes on a 26-4 run to take the lead 28-11 after trailing Albany 7-2 in the first half. The Bearcats strike back with a 17-9 run to make the score 55-41 after Albany tries to close in on the team in the second half.

Low Point:

The Bearcats fail to make a basket in the first 5:47 minutes of the second half, missing nine straight shots.

Bearcat of the Game: Moussa Camara

Camara pours in a career-high 24 points for the Bearcats going 7-12 and 5-9 on shots from inside and beyond the arc, respectively.

In their words:

“It was a great game for us. We did a good job keeping them off the glass and we paid attention to details tonight.”

Lucky Number: 41

The Bearcats grab a total of 41 rebounds against the Great Danes.

Jan. 10, 2009: Maine | L 66-61 (OT)

High Point:

The Bearcats lead the Black Bears 16-6 with 9:47 remaining on the clock in the first half.

Low Point:

With the exception of Camara, the team together posts a shooting percentage of 28 percent (14 for 49), which includes going 2-for-28 in 3-point shooting. Maine notches six straight points via free-throws with 1:58 remaining in overtime while Binghamton banks only four of its 11, missing five in a row at one point. The Bearcats also fail on all six 3-point attempts in overtime.

Bearcat of the Game: Moussa Camara

Camara collects a total of 18 points, which includes going 4-of-7 in shots from beyond the arc.

“Maine came in here and had a game plan. It was an ugly game. We have to come out next game and play harder and smarter.”

Lucky Number: 16.7

Despite posting an abysmal 16.7 percent in 3-point shooting, the Bearcats have better luck from beyond the arc than Maine, who shoot at 11.1 percent.

Jan. 12, 2009: Stony Brook | W 64-62

High Point:

With 1.8 seconds left on the clock and the score tied at 62, Wright overcomes a double-team and sinks a 15-foot jumpshot to notch the win for the Bearcats.

Low Point:

The Seawolves go on a 8-0 run in the first half to take the lead over the Bearcats, 19-12 with 7:38 remaining till halftime.

Bearcat of the Game: Greer Wright

Along with getting the winning shot, Wright also has a career-high 27 points which includes going 11-for-19 from the floor. He also has four assists and six rebounds.

In their words:

“Our go-to guy made plays tonight. [Wright] really wore his pants well.”

Lucky Number: 1.8

The game could have been an entirely different story in a difference of 1.8 seconds. Wright’s jumper gave the Bearcats their second conference victory.
