Sunday in the Old Union Mini mall almost 100 students of Chabad House, one of Binghamton University’s Jewish student groups, came together to celebrate the completion of a Torah. Simchat Sefer Torah, as the event is named, is a cause for celebration of life and teaching and Sunday was no exception. Once the Jewish scribe from Montreal finished the last words the night was filled with singing, dancing, and a parade with a float back to a large dinner at the Chabad House.
